daisy disk – free space in your hard disk

November 30, 2009

your disk map

This is a cool and free software that will help you to find out why your hard disk is always full. Launch it and it will display all contents in a circular graphic that does reminds you of a daisy wheel.

Every section of your drive is color-coded for it’s specific purpose, with closest part to the center being the root levels.

It’s Mac only and it costs a bit less than 20 USD but I think it will surely come in handy from time to time.

You can find it here: www.daisydiskapp.com

Update: If you’re looking for a good freeware alternative you can go with OmniDiskSweeper.
